About Me

I am a certified professional midwife offering full prenatal, birth, postpartum, newborn and well woman care plus placenta remedy services and placenta specialist training. A lifetime Lawrencian, I earned my BA from Knox College in Galesburg Ill, and then trained as an EMT, a Doula and a Placenta Remedy Specialist. Between 2003 and 2014 I learned through traditional apprenticeships attending births with 6 local home birth midwives. In 2013 and 2014 I completed 2 internships as a primary midwife under supervision at Better Birth Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2015 I earned the Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential from the North American registry of Midwives (NARM). For more information about the CPM and the Midwives Model of Care visit www.narm.org

I am passionate about holding space so that women can find empowerment in the sacred acts of womanhood, menarche, motherhood, and menopause. I believe all women have the ability to birth from a place of power and grace and it is my passion to help women discover this place within themselves.

In my spare time I play fiddle, guitar and mandolin in Clementine, quilt and enjoy my own wonderful family! In addition to birth work, I have a custom quilting business. Feel free to check out my quilt website at lillyquilts.com. I look forward to helping your family!
